Lawmakers Push To Take Medals From Fallen American Soldiers
Just how much more of this cancel culture do we need to take?Representatives propose to revoke Medals of Honor given to American soldiers who took part in the infamous 1890 Wounded Knee Massacre, which claimed the lives of 250 Native Americans, chiefly women and children.
As an addition to the fiscal 2023 military policy law, legislation was passed last week to take back the medals, which are the country's highest decoration for bravery. Similar attempts have been made in the past, but during compromises between the House and Senate versions of the law, they were finally abandoned.
Twenty members of the 7th U.S. Calvary Regiment received Medals of Honor for their participation in the Dec. 29, 1890 massacre on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota, close to Wounded Knee Creek.
And Democrats want to take their medals away from an event of 132 years ago for an act that was done by the United States Military. Yes, it was a horrible massacre. A lot of the Lakota's guns had been taken away and they could not defend themselves. So, watch out Patriots, the current administration wants your guns too!
Read about these sanctimonious Congressmen History is history; leave it alone.
As an American born citizen I do not like them trying to erase our history and remove statues and name changes and all they are doing now, it is sad for our history and nation. Very bothersome!
ReplyDeleteIf they were going to do this, they could have done it 100 years ago. Now, it is meaningless. Do you think they are sitting around on the Res waiting for this kind of nonsense?
ReplyDeleteThey'd rather Congress got the oil rigs going, so they could earn a living.
Congress is useless and gets more so everyday.
