Large clumps of brown floating seaweed on Lake Worth beach

See the video at WPTV

Beachgoers can't even walk into the ocean without walking over mounds of seaweed!

  1. And yet the overpaid azz wipes at city hall continue to insist that we don't need our pool because we have the ocean ! Time for term limits and a new city manager.

  2. It is all an exaggeration, the seaweed is like this a lot, if you go to the beach daily, it comes and goes, it gets raked and what not, it is the same as always, some people just don't go to the beach daily, so they are clueless. I wish they would stop raking it. That is the annoying part of it. Let it just disintegrate naturally with out the tractors and diesel fumes raking up all the nice shells each morning. They need to stop this and let nature take its course.

  3. This amount of seaweed at this time of year is not normal.NORMALLY this ugly crap comes around during the fall and winter. Along with the Man-O-Wars. Summer beaches are usually flat, clean and beautiful.Again, this is not normal.

  4. What is normal? Just so not true. So many people always seem to think they are the experts on all. When you live on the beach and are swimming three times a day in the ocean year round then we will talk. Stop raking and leave the poor turtles alone. Protect our beaches better!
