The Gun Control debate is way out of control

When I say way out of control, banning certain guns is even being advocated by one of our elected officials in Lake Worth, a Democrat, who constantly brings it up. He actually believes that the AR-15 is a Weapon of War and more dangerous than a shotgun.

So apparently you don't believe that they are. Educate us, Lynn.

  2. Look it up. At least there will be one educated Democrat that knows what is going on. the AR-15 is a semiautomatic gun, which means it only fires one round per trigger pull, period.

  3. Shotgun deadlier than AR-15

  6. What makes the AR-15 so dangerous, is it's appearance, which happens to appeal to people who want to kill people. As they say: "A picture is worth 1000 words."

    GET IT!

  7. Ha. You can't print a comment that demonstrates that an AR-15 is more dangerous than a shotgun? Jeez, Louise. You're softer than I ever thought you were.

What I can't figure out is why you're so scared to print those comments if you're so sure and cocky about your position. Unless you're not and you're intentionally spreading fake news and false info and informed comments expose you as a liar and propagandist. I can't believe you would be so stupid to be the latter. But then, you're stupid enough to insult and attack all sorts of people from our community so I guess anything is possible.

  8. You call them attacks; I call it truthful observation. The ONLY people I might say anything about on this blog pertaining to this city are the commissioners, the city manager and occasionally some staff. With staff, it's more complimentary than not. Code has a big problem here.
Realizing that elected officials and the CM can't take the heat, I say, clean up your act.
And the AR-15 is not an assault weapon; it's a semi-automatic. It certainly is not a weapon of war, Herman, and the rest of you all who want to take away guns.

  9. I'm not sure who the little voices in your head tell you you're talking to, Lynn, but I think you have the wrong person.

I pointed out in a previous comment why you're wrong with the statement you made about a shotgun being more dangerous than an AR-15. You're wrong and I explained to you why and you deleted the comment. I'm not going to waste my time arguing the semantics what you call an AR-15, but your statement comparing the two firearms is totally wrong. Just because you ma own a firearm doesn't make you an expert.

Like I said, I'm not sure why you deleted a comment that simply explained facts to you...but you did.

  10. 8:34 BECAUSE you always have to take an arrogant nasty approach to everything. I disagree with you. An AR-15 is not an assault weapon and a shotgun is more deadly.

  11. A shotgun would be damned ineffective firing from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay hotel. The AR15s were highly potent at that though!

  12. They found 23 weapons for that shooter. AR-15's fire a single shot each time the trigger is pulled, unless the weapon is modified. I don't know what weapon(s) he used in this mass killing but all or some could have been altered to fire like a machine gun.

  13. A shotgun does not have the "reach" or an AR15. It looses most of its impact and its spreads out to much at longer ranges like at Mandalay Bay. A fact that is not discussed in all the videos you are posting!

  14. Remember when Vice President Chaney shot one of his quail hunting buddy’s in the face with a shotgun? The man survived, had it been an AR-15 that man would have half his head blown to bits. maybe Dr Ben Carson could of put his brain back together?

  15. @12:42--not necessarily true--BUT, AR-15's are easier to use.

  16. Lynn, you should quit while you're ahead; somebody might challenge you to a duel.
