Quote of the Day - Donald Trump on the PGA's decision to move tournament to Mexico

Comment Up

"No different than Nabisco, Carrier and so many other American companies, the PGA Tour has put profit ahead of thousands of American jobs, millions of dollars in revenue for local communities and charities and the enjoyment of hundreds of thousands of fans who make the tournament an annual tradition. This decision [to move the PGA tour to Mexico] only further embodies the very reason I am running for president of the United States."

~ Donald Trump

Trump officially criticized the move in a statement Wednesday, calling it a "sad day for Miami, the United States and the game of golf" to leave Doral after 54 years and go to Mexico.

  1. The PGA is nuts. Trump is right. Our own corporations are ruining our economy and jobs.

  3. The PGA is looking to grow the game of golf and the largest target group is South Americans, Europeans and Asians... We here in America are saturated with golf, so it only makes marketing sense to shine a light on the sport offshore to grow interest in the sport and for equipment manufacturers to sell more equipment. It's the same reason the NBA and NFL now play games in Europe, trying to get more interest to start more teams and expand their leagues... tennis did it long ago...

Sorry Miami and the Donald, you lose.

  4. Actually, American jobs lose. I guess we will have to legislate "loyalty" once Trump gets elected. :)

  5. What the 3 time married 4 time bankrupted clown failed to mention is that General Motors- for all your ill informed regular blog readers- yes that General Motors did not want to be associated with the moronic bigot. So you can legislate everything you want this is still a free country and if one of the top rated companies in the world decides that your hero is a buffoon they don't want to do business with that's their choice.
I don't remember you posting any blogs about trump's clothing line being made in china. i also don't remember him commenting about that issue.
And you won't have to worry about legislating anything because "baby hands" will never get elected.

  7. Obama spent about $50 billion bailing out GM losing over $11 billion. No one bailed out Trump. It is no wonder they love the free stuff mentality that Trump will end

  8. The creditors who got left holding the bag of debt Trump abandon and ran away from through bankruptcy are the ones who bailed out Trump. And not paying his bills and getting bail outs are all what he is about, so you better look forward to more of that under his reign.
