I grew up in Lantana. A previous Lantana town council gave away our ball fields to developers. They used to be on Broadway .Lyman field is now Lyman CONDOS. What a great location the new ballfields were in. Right between a Tuberculosis hospital and a busy highway. And instead of having their own fields, the Lantana kids got to wait in line for their chance to play along with every other kid in the county. As for city manager Mike Bornstein, maybe he'll get stuck in a pothole and won't be able to make his way back to Lake Worth. We in Lake Worth can only hope.
This seems like a good compromise, I always thought that whole property was underutilized. Hopefully the redevelopment works out for Lantana. I was hoping maybe they could put the baseball stadium there.
