What a great time to run. With the article on the employees hitting the Palm Beach Post what better a chance to snag popularity since the current mayor & her staff just got a well deserved black eye. Everything he stands for is what this city sorely needs. Lets just hope if he wins he will actually implement what he says he will.
I am so proud of Gary taking a stand to fight for the charm and fair city to be returned.i have known Gary and his wife for 28 years. They are good people!Honest, kind willing to help anyway they can.
Bullet points are great. But Gary has not said how he plans to make them a reality. jUst because he is a nice man, that does not mean he can run a town, our town.... I feel like he will be a deer in the headlights, if he happens to become our mayor.
Met Gary last week on my street. Listened intently to what he says. I'm confused to just how is going to 'hear' from all the 37,000 people in LW? He doesn't know about email! Smart phone, huh? Wants to listen to the people and has no comprehension of how governing works, he doesnt have plan on how to remedy the upstairs casino issues, misfired on budget questions on policing and wants LWPD back and forget about his ability to read a financial Statement. Sounds like a vote for him means a lot of nothing going to happen. He'll have to have Townhall meetings week after week after week, droning on and on and on to hear from all of those 37,000 people about what they want. And soon will discover that what they want to go in 100 different directions and that you can't please all the people all the time like herding toddlers. Especially on a shoestring budget like LW has due to the poor tax base... Then again, he doesn't understand the tax base concept either.
Keep PBSO! I'm voting for Andy, Pam. and Ryan the anarchist just so I can point at Lynn an say thanks for supporting a left wing liberal socialist who says his an Environmentalist but mute about the governor dumping toxic water into St. Lucie at Lagoon, pythons in the Everglades.fracking in Fl, and even threw a battery in lake. Sounds like a prince of a guy especially when he cut his beard off chop his hair off and I was looking all preppy. And what happens on March 18 when he gets sentenced and has to go away behind bars? Do we get to have another election we just wait till he gets out of jail ?
@1:47--this is the LAST time that I am going to allow your crap on this blog. As said before, I would rather vote for a dogcatcher than anyone on the dais today. Having said that, Ryan Hartman was already "sentenced" and did some hours of community service. So, you have absolutely nothing to worry about. I would appreciate greatly if you would stop the falsehoods. He NEVER threw a battery into the lake. Post under your own name so someone can sue you. Can you do that please?
Hartman is concentrating on local issues of which we have plenty, not the St. Lucie Lagoon, pythons in the Everglades or Fracking. Give us all a break.
Next, there may be 37k people in this city, but not according to the latest census. But in spite of that, only a certain percentage vote. There should be more voters than usual this primary election. and only a certain percentage vocalize how they feel. You won't get another platform here unless, of course, you want to debate the truth and the facts.
And Gary is not as uniformed as you choose to believe.
Lynn, would love to hear your thoughts on what and how Gary plans to implement his campaign promises. He and Hartman vow they will answer every email and every call. We know this is an impossibility for any Commissioner - one person cannot answer potentially hundreds of emails a day. And this is one of their big campaign pledges. Well, as you said, you'd rather have a dog catcher elected, than any of the incumbents. (Btw, what do you have against dog catchers? Why is someone who mows lawns a better person?)
To me, it's whether or not someone has integrity and is honest and has the people's interests first. It's not what he does for a living that makes him qualified to represent me.
Our entire country's government in D.C. is nothing but lawyers...they sure have messed things up.
Anon @ 1:47 says: 'He doesn't know about email!' Really? He's had this email address for years! He was invited to the debates via email... Spreading lies again because you are misinformed? Gary said he isn't into SOCIAL MEDIA as in No Facebook account. Why not email him and see if he answers! Put 'concerned citizen' or 'about the election' in the subject line.
I'd like a representative who will at least try to listen over the bullies on the dais now. The mayor has called US liars and allowed Maxwell to call US racists 2x at 2 different city meetings! The mayor admits the city doesn't obey the laws we must obey and goes on to say they have created over 100 (150 at one debate) new laws for US to obey (Or Be PUNISHED)!
The mayor even has the balls to shut McVoy up, not allow him to respond to US or ask questions - and guess what - the ROP (rules of procedure) for the commission ALLOW any rep to ask questions!
Do we all obey all the laws? Tell code on their next visit that you will obey right after the mayor obeys!
GREAT handout! To the point and easy to read bullet points.
ReplyDeleteGreat handout, Gary ! Easily readable, says what needs to change in this town. Great Katie Mcgiveron

ReplyDeleteGary, help us employees. I don't live here so I can't vote for you on March 15 but good luck.
ReplyDeleteWe need a new major. Our current one is to unstable and untrustworthy. For christ sake ALL the employees seem to be on the verge of a strike
ReplyDeleteHe appears to be a honest man. It all depends if he can make his voice heard over Pam to gain votes.
ReplyDeleteGary even looks like a nice fella. A man you could actually converse openly with
