Health code violations at south Florida restaurants

Shangri-la Gourmet Chinese Food, at 920 N. Dixie Highway in Lake Worth, was shuttered temporarily on Feb. 16 for 39 health code violations, including six high-priority issues. The most critical violations included about 17 live roaches found in the restaurant and rusty cans still in storage. Inspectors also said the eatery was unable to provide documentation for the source of its fish and ordered workers to stop selling it. The eatery reopened the next day after a satisfactory follow-up inspection.
