Leona Helmsley was known as the Queen of Mean. But in Lake Worth we have the bully blogger, King of Mean, Wes Blackman, who took hours of time to personally attack another neighborhood association and the now 700 plus residences there by
designing a new banner for them using a LOON instead of the White Egret. This is his weak attempt at a play on words to describe ROLO as a bunch of looney people, crazy
and insane. You have to wonder why he is so driven to discredit an entire neighborhood association and all its residents. Perhaps there is a more personal connection with the Loon. But if you take the bird Loon, at least it is an excellent swimmer and does not need a noodle to stay afloat. He even takes a crack at the fact that ROLO changed its name. But if he had done any research at all, he would have known that the territory out here has expanded for this neighborhood association.
The photo to the right is similar to the one depicted on the other blog... did not use his graphic because of copyright, another thing he totally ignores and tramples as he cuts and pastes from this blog and takes things out of context to make points.
This is against Google's rules.
He is the chair of the Historic
Preservation Board and as such represents the city. He is a Director of College Park's neighborhood
association. He writes an attack blog and resorts to juvenile practices
with anyone with whom he politically disagrees. He is protected by the
current commission and the current President of the President's council
of the NACP who has resorted to name calling herself, who all cheer him on to "victory" by using vicious
smears towards all their political enemies.
**The NAPC's motto is: "Our neighborhoods have boundaries. Our commitment to each other does not." Also College Park, where he is a Director, has the following to describe itself: Our goal is to protect and
improve the neighborhood by building strong relationships among neighbors, our
neighborhood merchants, our City government, local law enforcement and other
Neighborhood Associations throughout the City of Lake Worth. He certainly has not adhered to his NA protocol or even common decency.
While sitting in the commission chamber filming everything, he features his enemies, holding them up to ridicule on his blog, also using disparaging words in the comment section. He has allowed disgusting fantasy in order to discredit his opponents
even resorting to libelous charges.
The reason he does this is all political and well, he just loves to take his hideous pot shots and be in favor with the "in crowd." The reason why he has gone after ROLO is because of the John Prince Park national ballfield idea that went "south" even though this city is still pushing the idea. ROLO spoke out against it and it was all downhill from there with the pot shots and negativity as he loves to belittle.
He has actually taken the time to come out to the ROLO neighborhood and feature videos on blight but fails to mention that the biggest blight has been caused by the City of Lake Worth at the foot of Lake Osborne. We have had to endure this mess for two years along with a portolet. He featured an apartment building across the lake that was in renovations, not even a part of ROLO but he, like a good little attack dog, included it in his smear.
This is an adult who represents the city by chairing a major board. He makes major decisions that affect property owned by many who disagree with his bully tactics. He takes political sides and goes after anyone who has a different opinion. He is on the Board and a Director of College Park Neighborhood Association.
Don't you think he at least should have an ounce of civility and be smarter than a loon?
hahaha, I'll have to read it. Is Wes deranged?
ReplyDeleteI try not to go there any more. It's way too depressing and stupid. I'm surprised you haven't sued the little *&^&% for all the stuff he writes about you. Must be jealousy.
ReplyDeleteWhat does Wes have on them that they are so afraid to address these harmful (divisive?) tactics he's too comfortable using?
ReplyDeleteThe elected are morally responsible and need to consider pulling their heads out of their butts (will be the pop heard round the world) and correcting this out of control behavior by any citizen w/power and the ability to 'lord' it over anyone of us!
ROFL and Cara is suppose to be the 'lawless one' pfffttt!
ReplyDelete"Without liberty, law loses its nature and its name, and becomes oppression. Without law, liberty also loses its nature and its name, and becomes licentiousness." --James Wilson, Of the Study of the Law in the United States, 1790
Licentiousness:
lacking legal or moral restraints
marked by disregard for strict rules of correctness
I remember years back when S. Mulvehill voted to appoint him to the P&Z. She took the high road and all he did was come after her.
ReplyDeleteWes can't control himself. He will attack anyone he disagrees with in a personal way. That's wrong no matter how you feel on an issue. If I disagree with you politically than I have every right to point out how your position is wrong. Do I need to point out that your fat and ugly too? I honestly believe that all the attacks by Wes and his friends on Facebook on anyone who was against the bond issue helped to sway voters on the fence to vote NO. People are tired of this attack against neighbors attitude. Wes just can't stop doing what 10 year old kids do who are unhappy. Deep down he is very insecure and this makes him feel better about himself. Pray that he sees the light and grows up.
ReplyDeleteWes has been doing this sort of stuff for years. He thinks it's cute. He has a following of other perverted souls who edge him on. He used to be BF's with Stafford who attacked everyone in sight. That's where he learned it but no one admires him for it.
ReplyDeleteKatie Mcgiveron,Vice president of ROLO here.Under most circumstances, I just ignore Mr. Blackman. However, he has attacked my entire neighborhood, not just me.Wes Blackman is not just a regular citizen. He is the appointed chair of one of our Lake Worth city boards.People in the Historic district have to come before this board for approval when they need to remodel their homes. This is not acceptable behavior for the chair of one of our city boards. Regardless of why Mr. Blackman did this, it is wrong. Here is the mission statement of College Park and the NAPC.
ReplyDeleteThe NAPC's motto is: "Our neighborhoods have boundaries. Our commitment to each other does not." Also College Park, where he is a Director, has the following to describe itself: Our goal is to protect and improve the neighborhood by building strong relationships among neighbors, our neighborhood merchants, our City government, local law enforcement and other Neighborhood Associations throughout the City of Lake Worth."
Does this stuff sound like Mr. Blackman is trying to build a strong relationship with ROLO?
I have personally e-mailed NAPC president Mary Lindsey about this matter. She has chosen to ignore the attack on my neighborhood.
Maybe it's time that Lake Worth gets new leadership not just on the Historic board that Mr. Blackman chairs, but in the NAPC leadership as well.
Now you have gone and done it! You referred to Wes as a 'King' instead of 'Queen'. Do you want to give him some sort of complex?? Shame on you
ReplyDeleteTo respond to someone who tried to say that I attack people--There are some people who have not the slightest clue as to what is a personal attack and what is fair to say when people are elected officials or represent the city. There is a big difference. There are a few people who believe that I resort to personal attacks when in fact, I don't get into name calling at all. I do give opinion that differs in many respects to those who are presently in power as well as the other blogger who resorts to smears just for the living hell of it and now takes delight into bringing down an entire neighborhood. I also am not a doormat for punks.
ReplyDeleteOk now, it's settled. Everyone knows he is a punk. Let's move on. In the meantime, perhaps the commission can train him like a puppy. Or is that too late? grr.
ReplyDeleteOk, you did not agree with my comments, but not to post them? Pretty cowardly
ReplyDelete9:05--I think we know who the coward is--
ReplyDeleteYour comments were nothing but fantasy and just plain inaccurate, ANONYMOUS, the guy who can't even post under his own name.
Although I've been to Mr. Blackman's blog only once, I sense that love is what's missing from his puerile posts and his angry attitude.

ReplyDeleteLynn, you said "There are some people who have not the slightest clue as to what is a personal attack and what is fair to say when people are elected officials or represent the city. There is a big difference. There are a few people who believe that I resort to personal attacks when in fact, I don't get into name calling at all."
You must be talking about yourself in the first sentence when you talk about some not knowing what a personal attack is. You post numerous personal attacks on other residents who are not elected officials or employed by the city. You get into name calling and you post comments from your friends and others that contain personal attacks too. All of which is against the Comment Policy stated on this blog - "NO NAME CALLING WILL BE ALLOWED by those commenting to this blog!"
Didn't the VP of ROLOH say she wanted the county to annex the neighborhood? That doesn't show any committment to LW.
Well, Scott--I don't know you but give examples of personal attacks that I have written. When I say personal attacks, I am talking about someone referring to someone as a damn drunk, fat, ugly, old, slurs and other demeaning expressions.
ReplyDeleteI believe it is YOU, Scotty, who has no clue. And true, people don't adhere to policy as they should. At least I have a policy and do the best that I can with it at the same time trying to maintain free speech. I also can't do much about people such as yourself who like to come over here and take your shots, even though they are against policy. :)
Have a good one.
If pointing out your two-sided policy is taking shots so be it. I like the way you now provide some examples of what a personal attacks is so anything you and your posters write is excluded. I definitely have a clue and to refer to me as "Scotty" when I clearly posted my name as Scott is demeaning on your part
ReplyDeleteLOL.
ReplyDeleteExamples have always been provided. Read the policy all the way to the end and figure it out, "Scott." As far as demeaning you, you must be one super-sensitive person or just simply another ball buster over here posting. I suspect it is the latter.
Clearly, someone who is elected or appointed to a city board or other position ends up representing the City. As a result, said person should refrain from personal attacks and demeaning anyone that disagrees with that person.
ReplyDeleteI'd be afraid to go before Wes' board (and yes I own a historic home) b/c I took a contrary position on LW2020. No way can he be neutral and unbiased.
Clearly our city officials and volunteer board members need to have some kind of code of ethics and decorum since he can't seem to police himself.
Above said: I have personally e-mailed NAPC president Mary Lindsey about this matter. She has chosen to ignore the attack on my neighborhood.
ReplyDeleteMaybe it's time that Lake Worth gets new leadership not just on the Historic board that Mr. Blackman chairs, but in the NAPC leadership as well.
Does that mean that Mary has distain for someone in our neighborhood council of members. Is she too important to even reply? Another queen?
maybe mary does not want to get involved in your personal petty bs
ReplyDeleteWell, perhaps, anonymous at 8:39. But the last time I knew, she was the person in charge...the President over all of the presidents of neighborhoods. Sometimes leadership skills must come to the forefront and one must enforce the NAPC mission statement and get rid of PETTY crap from someone who is an instigator of trouble and on her College Park board. She needs to answer a fellow member who is an officer of a NA that is being attacked. At least that is what I believe.
ReplyDeleteYou are trying every way you know how to attack Wes. You have written the Mayor and Commissioners asking them to remove him from the voluntary board he serves. You have out his name on bullets along with other members of our community. I don't know who started what but you both act like teenagers on your forums. Tit for tat. I don't agree with what either of you do. You should both stop. But you should also stop trying to get other people to do a dirty deed. It is not the Mayor or Commissioners or Mary Lindsey's issue. It is yours. Deal with it directly with Wes or continue to act like children. It's up to you.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately this will not be posted because you think I'm attacking you. But I'm sure I'm not alone in my opinion. We are really tired of both of your little spat.
It's so much more than a "little spat" anonymous. If the personal attacks were projected towards you, I am sure you would not consider it "a little spat." There is no way that anyone can reach the other blogger. He gets turned on to this sort of publicity. It's bizarre.
ReplyDeleteI believe our argument is stated and holds water. This commission appointed him to represent the city on a board. It is up to them to have some sort of professional standard here. Because this commission openly thrives on their followers attacking their opponents who have questioned some of their decisions, the bully will continue on until such time this dais turns around, and it will, eventually--it always does.
In the meantime, we have stated our position and we will not be doormats to any bully in this city.
This is a riot. Lynn goes after this wimp one time and takes the heat from you idiots. For years Blackman has attacked her. Your're a joke, 10:41. You need your head examined.
ReplyDeleteCharles Blackman is a nasty piece of work.
