People wonder why so many residents in Lake Worth have thrown up their arms and have dropped out. We like to believe that the good guys win but sometimes it takes a hunk of change and a big resolve to fight City Hall. The fight below is still going on in Riviera Beach
Fane Lozeman wins the battle but losing the war.
Thank you Lynn for being a voice against city hall and corruption.
ReplyDeleteI saw your post yesterday about there only being 38 decal parking spots at the beach, when we were told it was supposed to be 50 decal parking spots. I am very upset we were lied to by city hall.
I can't find that post this morning. What happened to it?
As I had a few people who came over here, respectfully I might add, and suggested that I did not count the 12 at the top by the round-about, I wanted to recount the spots. It is very possible that both of us forgot to include those spots. When I am challenging city hall and am accusing them of something, these 2 people put a doubt in my mind on the count, therefore the blog came down.
ReplyDeleteNevertheless, 50 spots is less than adequate but it is the best that Jennings could do by accepting the County bond money.
We need to see if we can restore decal parking to the entire park property. That would solve this once and for all and Szerdi and the rest of the commission would be off the hook for doing what they did on this vote of allowing snowbirds decal permits. Insanity might be diminished.
Anyone can make a mistake. Thanks for living up to yours and being honest in the process. I agree, 50 spots and then giving them away to non-residents is the most insane of decisions.
ReplyDeleteThanks Lynn, you are a true trooper, good, honest, and caring. Thanks for all you do for us and the city, I see we can trust in you more and more. I know you only care about the city as a whole. I agree, there is no reason now, why the city leaders cannot discuss this and allow for all decals to be able to park where ever they want at the beach. The county should have no say now and time has passed and we see this as a problem. I like that they have one area for decals, but they need to allow when there is overflow of those areas, to allow decalers to park where they want/can. This needs to be revisited, be open, be problem solvers, do what is right by the citizens and decal buyers.
ReplyDeleteSpaces at the roundabout? The roundabout to the south of the building? I will have to look for those next time. If I can't find them, is there someone I can call?
ReplyDeleteSorry. It is the spaces on the top at the North end. You have to drive to the top and go around the loop to enter that area. The decal parking area is divided into two lots.
