  1. Just finished reading and watching the story on the veteran's plight on the failure of LW to adhere to a long standing ADA requirements on sidewalks. Why would any rational individual be surprised that once again at the dysfunctional environment that only perpetuates itself over and over again. The CM needs to answer who did the design work on the road construction and failed to follow regulations in the construction rebuild and what LW employee was in charge of final acceptance and approval. Incompetence at its finest and how could any competent CM provide such an ambiguous answer to the public, fix the problem now as you were hired to do, past incredible. Just another example of the level of disconnect that exist with the management plan at LW. The taxpayers deserve better, much better.

  2. I was taken aback by the non committed tone of our City Manager's response. That is a U.S. Veteran and a senior. Whether money is allotted or not it is the city's responsibility to get it fixed. Access for handicapped and disabled should be a priority. How did the incompetent contractor who did the new sidewalk get away with getting paid without a final inspection? Where is the management protecting the taxpayers funds interests? This should be embarrassing to all Lake Worth residents, it show an attitude of non-caring for the people who need the most care. Hopefully the city will give this man an appropriate Christmas gift, ADA access! I have mostly been a supporter of our CM performance but this one left me surprised.

    Sadly,

  3. If you know the veteran in this article tell him to find a pit bull lawyer and sue the city and the ridiculous answer the CM gave. He should be compensated for the LW incompetence, then will LW not only pay but fix the mess they created.

  4. I wouldn't be surprised if he did not hear from a handful of lawyers after that TV segment ran.

  5. Sorry to say the CM is a joke. Nobody has the stomach to make the tough decisions.
