Lake Worth Christmas Parade

Now being called the 48th Annual Candy Lane Parade -- is this revisionism or some sort of paradigm shift away from religion or the Christmas spirit? A name by any other name--it is still the Christmas Parade and will be on December 14 at 6pm. Hopefully there will be some floats still depicting what this holiday is all about.

    Ahhh if they change the name it's the 1st (Insert New Speak Word) Candy Lane Parade - aren't there some good Catholics on the dais???
    Terrible they have no balls and bow to be politically correct! I'd pull my sponsorship and fight for the REAL 48th CHRISTMAS PARADE!

    Its still the Lake Worth Holiday Parade. The theme is Candylane, last year was Light up the Night. That was a design error apparently.

    You do know that there are lots of folks in this City who might celebrate a different holiday during December. Why not be inclusive and open, I'm sure there will be floats with a Christian them, there will be secular floats, there will be a Hanukkah float, there will be some wacky floats. I am thankful that I live in a country and a City that celebrates all.

    I'm frankly bummed about this post, true Christians would celebrate their holiday with no fear or judgment regarding those of different faiths or no faiths.
