We have a lot of druggies all up and down K Street and J Street. Total low life people on SSI and food stamps with nothing better to do all day than crystal meth and dope and everything else. Change the government entitlements and this goes away. Because guess what??? When you have to work your tail off to pay rent and buy your own food you don't have that much time to get into trouble.
It is not just on J or K streets, it is all over this city, west of downtown all over lake and lucerne by the quik stop, even on 2nd North and Federal Hwy tons hang there too, it is all over our entire city, drugs, prostitution, ssi and food stamps, it all goes hand and hand, our city is a poor city with lots of crime, drugs, prostitution, and losers, and it is getting worse by the day and what do the PBSO and elected officials do or say, nothing, they say they cannot do anything about it, and they don't. What a mess we are leading to.
You're right. It's not just J and K Streets. Federal is bad, as are other streets. Why does the city keep letting people open halfway houses? This brings addicts into our community. Drug addicts are responsible for a lot of the crime -- burglaries, car thefts, etc. Our city officials can't do much about ssi and food stamps, but they could limit the number of halfway houses and the total number of rentals. This would help a lot.

ReplyDeletei know this statement is true:
ReplyDeletesuccess breeds success.
I wonder if this statement is true:
crime breeds crime.
slowly but surly...little by little...inch by inch... lake worth is turning into a mecca for the bad guys
There are certainly exceptions and no one is against someone truly needy getting government assistance. Thanks for writing.
