  2. It was pretty crowded but I think, all in all, everyone enjoyed themselves. The food was terrific. Sure missed not seeing you there. Hope you are feeling better.

  4. Doris and Dena Dorsey 's Herculean job ,to make the Centennial of Lake Worth festive, memorable, was rewarded by the cheerful, happy gathering of pioneers and hundreds of Lake Worth Citizens dancing. The graciously served dinner was gourmet quality thanks to Dena McCracken-Dorsey,(Big Daddy couldn't have looked happier and proud,THANK YOU DENNIS DORSEY for making this possible for the City you love.Glowing with content,Pioneers(the Addisons, Bud Greenes,Chad Drakes etc etc., were telling tales of the Casino's pool where young lake Worth learned to swim, preventing child drownings, and keeping them from turning to the streets, thanks to responsible, diligent employees. The many festive Balls at the Ballroom, much bigger then, when the City had a Commission capable of thinking big, for the future of Lake Worth, and creating its' intimate warm, small identity, which attracts from all over, bringing revenue and contributing residents, seeking a personal warm environment.Thank you Pioneers!
    Happy 100th Lake Worth..!

  8. Thank you Lake Worth Citizens, who live in the spirit of the Founders of Lake Worth, the Pioneers. All legal arrivals, who,
since their days, settled here, not to look at
condos, dehumanizing concrete boxes,(two walls joined by a sliding door for daylight),like in penitentiaries!,
but to move into what was created, into a warm ,friendly one and two story welcoming beautiful Old Florida Town, with own theater, Art Galleries, restaurants, an Olypic size swimming pool for water aerobics ,teaching children swim, to raise revenue, pool side Tropical parties with admission! The Mediterranean, Federal and Key-West styles attracted humans from many Countries and the United States.
The Judges for Fashion level, never saw a white tie-and-tails suit, proper for a Ball, to-day since the turn of the Century.
The Duke of Edinburgh,Prince Willam,Harry,Duke of Devonshire,Marquess of Blendheim, etc etc. and all peers, gentlemen, are similarly attired for any formal, festive Occasion.Royal occassions still call for Ermine for the Ladies!

We respected the important milestone in the History of Lake Worth and dressed acordingly!
