Shanon Materio named West Palm Beach Commissioner
Materio: "I'm so proud to have been chosen for this appointment. I really was in an incredible field of qualified wonderful people. I know it had to be very difficult for commission to choose from this great group it shows how terrific the south end is really is. So many people were willing to do this who have such big lives to live."
Congratulations Shanon!! An excellent choice.
ReplyDeleteGreat, hope it serves the city well. The Materio's seem quite involved in Lake Worth too and the TRNA as well, they like to have a lot of control and power it seems. They seem very ambitious in many ways.
ReplyDeleteYou seem afraid of their ambition. Don't be scared.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! Just sad that you couldn't be on the Commission in LW!!

She would have brought even more affordable housing.
ReplyDeleteNot scared at all more like concerned about businesses like mcmow glass trying to control nas and our city they seem to control a lot of trna now
ReplyDeleteOn what possible basis could you make a statement that they "control a lot of TRNA now"? FYI, the Associations bylaws do allow for business memberships. In addition, they also own a home in the Tropical Ridge Neighborhood.
ReplyDeletePhil is currently a Director on the TRNA Board. Phil & Shanon have been supporters of the Association for years. They have donated their time and energy into making Tropical Ridge a wonderful neighborhood. They donated a beautiful piece of glass for the TRNA raffle. The raffle that helped us raise over $500 towards our banners. Phil has helped build (and steer) several of our entries into the annual Raft Race. McMow proudly shows off both the Tropical Ridge & South Palm Park banners, along with the Grunge Cup, in their window. Phil & Shanon have literally helped clean-up the neighborhood.
So, to what extent are they "controlling" the Association and if so, to what detriment?
Case and point! :-(

Looks like the anonymous poster got you Jessica. What a horrible list of offenses they were able to come up with. They obviously prefer when Anabeth and Peter were running the HOA
ReplyDeleteI'm all up for seeing a lily white piece of stain glass
ReplyDeleteThe Materio's have been behind some very shady things here in LW, with elections, control, manipulation, etc. They are bad apples and you do not want to mess with them, they may look like they are doing so many wonderful things in this city and county, but they have alterior motives for ALL they do, it is all coming out, just look at the other Materio posting here on this blog. Materio's are control freeks, they are wolves in sheeps clothing, many people have seen their other side, they are no saints. The truth will come out and time will tell and show the real side.
