Are these the "shiny objects in the sky"
to which Commissioner Maxwell refers?
Scott Maxwell was a part of this past commission
and he voted in tandem with them most of the time.

He did, however, fight the building of our Casino at every turn. He even voted against Morganti, the contractor on our Casino, to approve an amended agreement to include a guaranteed maximum price and contract time. They can't go over a specified sum but Maxwell voted against it.
The next item that he voted against, not once, but every single time, was the Budget for 2011/2012. He accused the City Manager of not having a balanced Budget when in fact she did.
Now he says, "It's about stopping talk about shiny objects in the sky and getting back to work." I would say that many of the important decisions of which he was a part were voted correctly and it was never from lack of working. Maxwell never had a problem voting for the "free lunch" which is really a shiny pie in the sky.

This is normal maxwell politics.
