Bill of Rights Day


69 years today, Franklin Delano Roosevelt declared December 15th as Bill of Rights Day.

First introduced by James Madison in 1789, these Constitutional Amendments came into effect on December 15, 1791. This country was founded on dissent. There are always dissenters, no matter what, and this Bill was no exception. Some prominent Americans were against the ratification such as "Give me Liberty or give Me Death," Patrick Henry.
