General McChrystal Out - General Petraeus In

Comment Up
Saying that it is "the right decision for national security," The President did not take the high road today. Instead of admitting that we have a big problem in Afghanistan, President Obama fired General McChrystal. The President has replaced him with General David Petraeus.

For the General to break protocol as he did, leads me to believe there is something very wrong with the direction we are taking or not taking in Afghanistan. The general would not have given an interview with Rolling Stone unless he wanted to bring attention to the "non-attention" of President Obama. McChrystal had asked for 60 to 80 thousand troops and an open-ended commitment from the President; the president sent 30,000 and gave a timeline to get out.

Read the Rolling Stone article -- Stanley McChrystal, Obama's top commander in Afghanistan, has seized control of the war by never taking his eye off the real enemy: The wimps in the White House.

  1. Obama is a spoiled ,petulant child, not the president of the United States. He has made this nation a target due to his paralysis and inability to react to a crisis.
