Return to 'real' Florida
For me, a panther's scream, pine savannas, Elliott's aster turning culverts purple and swamps are "real" Florida. Amendment 4 can save both our wild heart and our right to self-government. It's our last chance.
Money alone was not the founding value prompting the forefathers to fight, die and pen immortal phrases to guide this country. Neither was squelching the people's voice.
Hometown Democracy enables Floridians to rebuff excess growth and formally restores power to us who, by natural right, claim it — thus creating a better state in which to live, work and play. I hope 2010 brings this brighter day.

If we wait for our elected officials to do the right thing and vote for what we taxpayers want instead of what their campaign contributors want- WE'LL BE WAITING FOREVER !Would you lock a bunch of 16 year old boys in a liquor store, let them hold a party with all of their friends-and tell them not to drink? The Florida legislature is just like that drunken group of kids when it comes to controlling growth in our state.THEY CAN'T BE TRUSTED!!!! Vote yes on Amendment 4 to put growth decisions back where they belong- with the people who ultimately have to pay the bills for government decisions- US !
