Bomb Threats force Europe to ground seven planes

Bomb threats force emergency landings on seven flights including two from Britain

Passengers and crews were diverted, evacuated, and held while bomb squads and counter-terrorism units searched aircraft. Where checks were completed and disclosed, no explosives turned up. The UK government called the spate a “malicious hoax.”

Tuesday morning’s chaos marked the third emergency landing of a UK-departure flight over a bomb threat in under 24 hours.
