Meta got hammered for engineering addiction, harvesting youth attention, and turning childhood into algorithmic feedstock. Fine. Big Tech earned plenty of punishment.
But parents in cities like Los Angeles are also using screens as blinders against a real-world horror show their leaders created: public drug use, defecation, psychosis, crime, decay, and homeless misery outside schools. Zuckerberg did not put that on the sidewalk. City Hall did.
