Minnesota Jails Released 823 Illegal Aliens Despite ICE Detainer Requests, Data Shows
A good magician knows the trick isn’t in the magic—it’s in the misdirection. Get the audience looking at one hand while the other does the real work. Governor Tim Walz, it seems, has been studying the craft.Following a recent phone call with President Trump, Walz issued a statement assuring everyone that Minnesota plays nice with federal immigration authorities. His office declared that the state Department of Corrections “already honors federal detainers” and notifies ICE when non-citizens are in custody.
The statement even boasted there’s “not a single documented case” of the department releasing someone without offering a smooth transfer to federal agents.
Sounds reassuring, doesn’t it? A Democratic governor in a blue state, actually cooperating with the Trump administration on immigration enforcement. You’d almost think bipartisanship was making a comeback. If only it were true.
Here’s what Walz carefully avoided mentioning: while state prisons might follow the rules, county jails across Minnesota are a different story entirely.
Government data obtained by the Center for Immigration Studies reveals that local jails routinely refuse to honor ICE detainers, releasing illegal aliens back onto the streets rather than transferring them to federal custody.
Minnesota, the data finds, is among the top 10 states releasing illegal aliens from jail rather than turning them over to ICE agents.

Illegal aliens ( Democrat voters) are going to continue to terrorize and kill American citizens until the stupid (too much cheese clogging their brains?) people of Minnesota say "enough". Ok, maybe not cheese. Probably Bananas and rice.
