Supreme Court holds Trump's economic strategy hostage

Scott Bessent just called out the Supreme Court with one phrase that changes everything

Democrats and judges team up to sabotage American jobs

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent told Fox Business that two major decisions are coming in January that will shape the future of Trump's America First agenda.

But it's the Supreme Court ruling on tariffs that has Bessent sounding the alarm. "Economic security is national security," Bessent told Maria Bartiromo. "So this ruling is really a national security ruling and if they rule against the administration, they will be ruling against national security."

The stakes couldn't be higher. Two companies – an educational toy manufacturer and a wine importer – are challenging Trump's tariffs all the way to the nation's highest court. They claim Trump overstepped his authority under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act when he imposed the duties.

Never mind that those duties have already generated $215.2 billion in revenue in fiscal year 2025 and another $71 billion since October. Trump brought back hundreds of billions of dollars flowing into American coffers while protecting jobs from unfair foreign competition.

But a few activist judges decided they know better than the President about what constitutes a national emergency.
