Little Shop of Horrors is a 1982 science fiction comedy rock musical by Alan Menken and Howard Ashman about a meek flower shop assistant who discovers a carnivorous plant that eats human blood.

The story is a dark comedy with themes of love, fame, and the consequences of desire, featuring a score with popular songs like "Suddenly, Seymour" and "Skid Row (Downtown)."

The musical is based on the 1960 B-movie of the same name and has a different, darker ending in its original stage version compared to the 1986 film adaptation, though some modern film releases include the original ending.
