Endorsed by Trump, Karol Nawrocki, the newly elected President of Poland

Pro-Trump Conservative Nawrocki Wins Poland’s Presidential Election

Conservative candidate Karol Nawrocki narrowly beat liberal RafaƂ Trzaskowski in Poland’s presidential election runoff, winning 50.89 percent of the vote to 49.11 percent, according to the electoral commission.

The result was a dramatic shift from an initial exit poll released immediately after voting ended at 9 p.m. In that survey, which had a 2 percentage point margin of error, Trzaskowski had 50.3 percent compared to 49.7 percent for Nawrocki. Turnout was 71.6 percent.

Nawrocki, backed by the nationalist Law and Justice (PiS) party and also by U.S. President Donald Trump’s administration, aims to pull Poland away from the European mainstream in a more populist direction.

  1. This is nice but speaking of Mr Trump where has he been the past 48 hours not a word on Ukraine's incredible raid on Putin’s bombers? Did trump grr err t a call from zelinsky or did trump give the go ahead?

  2. From what I read, President Trump had zero knowledge of what Zelensky was going to do and did. There is no way that peace can be achieved when both these idiots (Zelensky and Putin) want to continue the war.

  3. There is no other explanation! The people fighting and dying in this war, seem to be expendable. I don't understand it.

  4. Unless you're rooting for Putin, the attacks by Ukraine have been phenomenal and worth celebrating. Trump and the MAGA movement have been silent or critical of Zelensky. Tells you a lot.

  5. @8:10...NO one is rooting for Putin. President Trump wants the war to end and has been very vocal about that. You must watch CNN. Neither one of these countries seem to want peace. Pretty soon, they will be on their own. Zelensky and Putin do not want to negotiate so it goes on w/o our billions right now.

  6. Putin and Pope Leo had an encouraging phone conversation. Let's see what comes of it. Zelensky is a wolf in sheep's clothing. If you can't see that, you're a deer in the headlights.

  7. Zelensky just bombed Russia with 117 drones. He does not want peace. We have spent 184 billion helping him but he has to keep waging war. Trump has asked for peace but neither want it.

  8. Pope Leo is not your average bear. I'm optimistic about this development, and I'm not your average optimist.
Somehow, this fraud, Zelensky, has managed to pull the wool over everybody's eyes, with his little soldier suit, and millions of Christians, Orthodox and Roman die, and for what?

  9. Once again: Putin attacked Ukraine. Ukraine is defending herself. It's not hard. And if you're blaming Zelensky for defending his country, you're supporting Putin.

  10. @9:58...Once again, we get that. Neither one wants to end this war. Zelensky was the good guy. The killing needs to stop and they both need to compromise, negotiate and stop the 5 to 6,000 being killed weekly. No one is blaming Zelensky for defending his country from a maniac but there comes a time to end it and stop poking the bear. It will get him no where and Putin will take over his entire country, his goal.

  11. Russia invaded, Lynn. Ukraine is beating back the invaders. So you want Ukraine to make a deal with Putin over the Ukraine territory that Russia occupies? Russia needs to leave. Anything less and Ukraine surrenders her territory to Russia. But that's apparently what you want. You want Russia to succeed in keeping Ukraine territory. That's a win for Putin. That's why he invaded Ukraine. And you're rooting for him.

  12. @8:44...I guess you just won't shut up and continue with your ridiculous narrative...Democrats always do that. Losers.
I don't give a fig about who keeps what territory. Zelensky will NEVER get his territory back. Until he realizes that, and we stop funding him, this war will continue on killing 5,000 soldiers weekly. That's what you obvously want. No one is rooting for criminal Putin.
