Man arrested for allegedly targeting Rep. Max Miller in road incident
Imagine driving down the highway, minding your own business, only to have someone try to force you off the road while hurling insults and waving a flag in protest.That’s the alarming situation Ohio Republican Rep. Max Miller faced on Interstate 90, an incident that has now led to the arrest of a Westlake man, Feras S. Hamdan, on charges of aggravated menacing, as the New York Post reports. It’s a stark reminder that political disagreements can spill over into dangerous territory, especially in today’s heated climate.
On Thursday morning around 9:30 a.m., Hamdan allegedly attempted to run Miller off the road, while displaying a Palestinian flag and using anti-Jewish slurs, culminating in his arrest following an investigation by Rocky River police.
This troubling encounter unfolded as Miller, one of just four Jewish House Republicans representing an area south of Cleveland, was driving along the busy interstate. According to the congressman, the suspect lay on his horn and swerved aggressively when he couldn’t get Miller’s attention to flaunt the flag.
