Trump Becomes First U.S. President to Officially Visit Qatar

President Trump received royal treatment in Qatar

President Donald Trump became the first U.S. president to officially visit Qatar on Wednesday, and he received a grand reception suited to the historic occasion.

Qatari F-15s met Air Force One in the sky and escorted it to Doha. The emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, greeted Trump on the tarmac when he arrived in the capital. The pomp continued as Trump’s motorcade traveled to the Amiri Diwan.

During Trump and al-Thani’s official meeting, Trump underscored their previous meeting in 2019 at the White House and emphasized Qatar’s involvement in working to bring peace between Russia and Ukraine.

  1. "The nation of Qatar has, unfortunately, been a funder of terrorism at a very high level," Trump added. "We have to stop the funding of terrorists... They have to end that funding."

  2. Do you think it's better to make friends, or do you want to just harbor grudges? Is there a time limit on grudges? The Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor. The Germans were our mortal enemy. Should we stop trading with them?

  3. 5:05...you are trying to compare something that happened 84 years ago to what is happening right this very minute in our country? Qatar has been funding our colleges and universities and of course, funding Hamas, a terrorist org that wants to bring down America. Qatar is investing a heck of a lot of money into our country but they have been an enemy of the U.S. Time will tell about them. I believe Trump knows what he's doing.
