Minnesota Governor Tim Walz took the podium this week and delivered what may be one of the most reckless, inflammatory, and irresponsible political speeches of the year.

During his State of the State address, Walz accused the Trump administration of throwing “fathers into Salvadoran gulags” and claimed that “university students are being swept up into unmarked vans.” It was a speech designed to trigger outrage — but instead, it revealed the deep panic now gripping the Democratic Party.

Let’s be clear: this wasn’t a policy critique. It was theater — dangerous theater. And it wasn’t just embarrassing. It was revealing.
