Republicans leading effort to cut Red Tape

Sen. Rick Scott Leads Legislation to Cut Unnecessary Government Red Tape

"WASHINGTON, D.C. — Senators Rick Scott, Ron Johnson and James Lankford announced the introduction of the Regulatory Decimation Act.

This will rein in the administrative state by requiring federal agencies to repeal ten existing regulations prior to issuing a new one and ensuring the cost of any new regulation does not exceed the ones repealed. Congressman Dave Taylor is leading the legislation in the House of Representatives.

Senator Rick Scott said, “The federal government has grown exponentially during the four years of the Biden administration, with hundreds of thousands of federal regulations costing Americans $1.9 TRILLION.

President Trump and DOGE are committed to streamlining government to make it work better for the American people, and every agency should follow suit and cut waste and red tape within their own walls.

It’s time to refocus our federal government and its agencies to be good stewards of American tax dollars and working better for the American people by passing the Regulatory Decimation Act to hold agencies accountable.”

  1. 600+ point drop in the stock market today. Tomorrow even larger as tariffs take effect. Also, Social Security beneficiaries may miss a couple payments because of DOGE.

Meanwhile, keep writing about Obama and Pelosi. Anything but the mess Trump has created in America.

  2. The market always swings. Tomorrow it will probably go up again. And Martin O'Malley former commissioner of Social Security is a Democrat. Democrats love to put fear into people...they do that with a lot of joy.
