MSNBC Unaware of Harris Campaign's $500K Donation to Sharpton’s Group

Vice President Kamala Harris's campaign contributions have raised ethical questions in journalism circles. MSNBC was reportedly unaware of a $500,000 contribution from Harris's campaign to Rev. Al Sharpton's National Action Network before an interview between Sharpton and Harris aired, leading to professional criticism.

Federal Election Commission filings later revealed Harris’s campaign's significant financial outreach to influential media figures and organizations as the election approached, Fox News reported.

The Vice President interviewed with MSNBC personality Rev. Al Sharpton on October 20, which notably coincided with her 60th birthday. Before this, in September and October, her campaign made two $250,000 donations to Sharpton’s nonprofit, the National Action Network.

Her campaign gave to many other media outlets.

The Society of Professional Journalists has articulated concerns regarding these practices, asserting that they potentially damage the reputation of journalism as an unbiased field.

Kamala Harris' and her campaign had many questionable ethics violations. As these financial dealings come to light, the line between political advocacy and journalism continues to blur. She was trying to buy everyone off and now $20 million in debt after raising over $1 billion dollars. Lots of corruption out there.
