Florida Amendments November 2024

 

Amendment 1 Brings politics into local school boards by changing their elections from non-partisan to partisan.
Amendment 2 Establishes a constitutional right to fish and hunt, already state law, and makes it the “preferred means” of managing fish and wildlife.
Amendment 3 Legalizes the recreational use of marijuana for adults 21 and over.
Amendment 4 Limits the ability of politicians to interfere in the private health care decision to have an abortion.
Amendment 5 Increases the homestead tax exemption annually based on inflation. Cuts funding communities utilize for programs and services.
Amendment 6 Ends Florida’s public campaign financing program that provides an incentive for candidates to seek support from everyday citizens, not just wealthy donors and powerful special interests.
