In the wake of the Supreme Court’s Presidential immunity ruling, Donald Trump’s lawyers petitioned Judge Juan Merchan to delay the July 15 sentencing hearing so Trump’s legal team could file a motion to set aside the verdict.
Judge Merchan went even further and pushed the sentencing to September 18 and said the hearing may not even be necessary as the defense and prosecution will submit briefs by September 6 to set the verdict aside.
