Lake Worth Pier closed for second day as strong winds and rough surf continue

WPBF 25 First Warning Meteorologists have declared First Warning Weather Days through Sunday due to widespread rain and the potential for severe weather and tornadoes.

There are multiple advisories in effect across Palm Beach County and the Treasure Coast.

"Strong winds, dangerous boating and heavy rain will continue to materialize into the weekend," said Chief Certified Meteorologist Cris Martinez. "Boating conditions continue to be on the dangerous side with wave heights up to 15 feet in some locations offshore," he added.

A high surf advisory is in effect for Coastal Palm Beach County through Sunday and a gale warning is in effect for the coastal waters from the Jupiter Inlet to Deerfield Beach until 7 a.m. Sunday.
