Federal Appeals Court Rules Biden Admin and FBI Coerced Social Media Platforms Into Censorship

A federal appeals court has determined that the Biden administration, health officials, and the FBI have acted in a manner contrary to the First Amendment by exerting pressure on social media corporations to suppress posts concerning COVID-19, Hunter Biden, and elections.

5th Circuit Court of Appeals, is headquartered at the John Minor Wisdom United States Court of Appeals Building in New Orleans, Louisiana, upheld a previous ruling prohibiting certain government representatives, including those from the Biden administration, from communicating with social media companies regarding content moderation.

“The Fifth Circuit has upheld the district court’s order in our free speech case, Missouri v. Biden, enjoining the White House, Surgeon General, CDC, & FBI from violating the First Amendment rights of millions of Americans,” Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey posted on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, on Friday.
