DOJ is out to charge more Jan 6 protesters

DOJ Planning HUNDREDS More Jan 6 Prosecutions

Federal prosecutors apparently are contemplating placing charges against more than 1,000 individuals who allegedly participated in the protests on January 6th, 2021 at the Capitol.

Bloomberg News is reporting that the United States Attorney in Washington has sent a letter this week to the chief justice of DC’s federal court system. The letter stated that prosecutors overseen by US Attorney General Merrick Garland could bring between 700 and 1,200 new individuals into custody.

A staggering set of numbers! This many people charged would represent double the number of prosecutions already sought in connection with those who entered the capital building on January 6th in protest of a seemingly unfair election process.
