Elon Musk’s SpaceX launched its first Starship rocket on Thursday morning, but it exploded during a mid-flight failure over the Gulf of Mexico near Texas.
Live video footage of the test showed the rocket traveling for several minutes before the rocket appeared to fail. The unmanned rocket later exploded in midair.
Allright, that's enough of that for awhile. I'm sure that wasn't particularly helpful to the environment.
ReplyDeleteStick with what you know, Elon!
All of this goes through a lot of trial periods.
ReplyDeleteHe has already launched 25 rockets but this one was the biggest and most powerful ever built.
He will get there.
From your lips to God's ears!
ReplyDeleteWho cares. In the grand scheme of things, it means nothing!
Space exploration means nothing?
ReplyDeleteHow does it change your life? How did the moon landing change your life? That was 54 years ago. Let's deal with the here and now. People are sleeping in the park, and pan-handling all over the city, and you are fantasizing about Elon Musk.
ReplyDeleteGo see 2001 Space Odessey again and get over it.
Why not work on this planet's problems first?
ReplyDeleteElon can work on what in H he wants. Tell Biden to work on the problems of this country instead of creating them.
ReplyDeleteWithout explorers such as Elon Musk, you would still have people believing that the Earth was flat.
He's taking the risk to discover new horizons. He is to be admired in a myriad of ways.
@8:25...Spending on space supports highly skilled jobs, fuels technology advancements with practical applications, and creates business opportunities that feed back into the economy. This in turn grows the pool of public money that can be spent on solving the world’s most pressing problems and Elon is not doing this with YOUR money.
ReplyDeleteTell Biden to clean up his act.
This was a successful test launch, if your just read the headlines without reading the whole story you’re missing out on the real info.
ReplyDeleteTo all those whiny wimps, just wait till a man walks into the women’s bathroom you when you’re trying to pee, enjoy your “ how’s it effect me” moment
How did you make that leap, 7:12? Space travel and trans gender bathrooms. What a brilliant deduction. I would never have thought of it.
ReplyDeleteThis is why,
Delete“How does it change your life? How did the moon landing change your life?”
Whinny wimps always want to know how it effects you personally
for the people complaing bout everything someone else does with their money get off the computer and come up with a cure for the comon cold.you have NO idea what can be learned from these mishaps even if we dont make it to mars.by the way the earth is NOT flat if you think that your brain is flat
ReplyDelete9:42, you are what is called a Utopian. Everything is getting worse, and you sit there on your computer writing about the benefits to all of us from space exploration.
ReplyDeleteI can't think of one thing that I don't have to go out of my way to get something in any way comparable to what was available 20 years ago.
It doesn't even matter if you are willing to pay more; it just isn't available anymore.
But just sit there on your computer and imagine it's a wonderful world, Dr. Pangloss.
