Hunter Biden Snubs House GOP’s Demands

Abbe Lowell, the attorney for Hunter Biden, has rejected a House Oversight Committee demand to produce documents related to his business dealings.

Rep. James Comer, the new chair of the House Oversight Committee, sent a letter to Hunter Biden, along with his business associate Eric Schwerin, and uncle James Biden, asking for a number of communications documents relating to his foreign business deals and finances, and any classified documents he may have.

In a response, Abbe Lowell, the attorney for Hunter Biden, claimed that the letter fails to demonstrate “legislative purpose” necessary for the Oversight Committee to investigate Hunter and his business dealings, as their “scope of oversight is limited when dealing with private persons” like Hunter.

“Peddling your own inaccurate and baseless conclusions under the guise of a real investigation, turns the Committee into ‘Wonderland’ and you into the Queen of Hearts shouting, ‘sentence first, verdict afterwords,'” Lowell continued.
