Biden Sends New Missiles to Ukraine, Risking Putin’s Wrath
MLRS had reportedly been a top request from Ukrainian officials, who say they need it to stop the advance of Russian forces in the east, which has taken control of the key city of Lyman last week. The approval comes after President Biden said Monday the U.S. would not send rocket systems to Ukraine that could potentially reach into Russia, though he was referring to longer-range ATACMS missiles, which have a range of 185 miles.
Biden has ruled out sending longer-range missiles for fear of escalating the war in Ukraine and dragging in the U.S. military should Ukrainian troops strike inside Russia.

Is there any other NATO country sending anything to Ukraine? Here is the answer and the bilateral countries with amounts. We are always the most generous country in the world and now, at the expense of our own citizens.
Unfortunately, I can't remember the name of the expert who said that the weapons wouldn't be of much use, as the Ukrainians had not been trained to use them.
ReplyDeleteI read that they all will be trained within 30 days
ReplyDeleteWho is going to train them? If the US goes into Ukraine, it is an act of war. Furthermore, they said it was a fairly long period of training.
ReplyDeleteZelensky is responsible for the deaths of thousands of Ukrainians. We'll see how this plays out, but it doesn't bode well for him. At some point, the Ukrainians will understand this.
It didn't go so well for the South Vietnamese, if you recall, and Iraq isn't exactly Shangri La either. But you've got some quirky idea that war solves problems.
My only "quirky" idea is that a country wants to defend itself from a brutal invader.
ReplyDeleteThere are all sorts of training methods..
I think that there are some of our Military to train but not to fight
DeleteYeah, maybe they could do a Webinar!
ReplyDeleteGreat way for the USA to start WWIII don't you think?
ReplyDelete@4:01...maybe you should be a stand-up comic
ReplyDeleteMy mother used to tell me that.
ReplyDeleteThe United States keeps pushing the envelope 11:06. Both parties jump on board, as only a few of them have any brains either. After all, the elected are representative of the population that elected them.
ReplyDeleteAmericans are afraid to say anything; they think people will interpret this as them not liking Ukrainians, or worse yet, being a Putin fan.
This administration is doing everything it can to start WWIII, while Putin seems to be trying to prevent it. For all we know, this whole thing might be about further protecting the president's wayward son. After all, Burisma is or was a Ukrainian Company, was it not?
