Top Silicon Valley Tech giant stepping down from Meta Board to help Republicans

Top Big Tech Conservative Leaves Meta’s Board to Reportedly Help Republicans Win In November

One of the top conservatives in Silicon Valley is leaving his post on Meta’s board in favor of using his riches to help the Republican Party this November. Sources say that Peter Thiel, who co-founded PayPal and Palantir, has decided to step down from his role with the Facebook parent company after 17 years to help the GOP.

A source close to Thiel confirmed his political plans to The New York Times:

“Thiel, 54, wants to focus on influencing November’s midterm elections, said a person with knowledge of Mr. Thiel’s thinking who declined to be identified,” the outlet reported. “Thiel sees the midterms as crucial to changing the direction of the country, this person said, and he is backing candidates who support the agenda of former President Donald J. Trump.”
