‘GIVE ALASKA BACK’, Says Russian Lawmaker to United States

From the moment that Russian troops began arriving in Ukraine, the world has been trying to understand just what Vladimir Putin’s endgame is going to be.

The Russian President’s narrative regarding the invasion has been scattered, inconsistent, and flimsy. First there were concerns about “denazification”, and then biological weapons lab, and then a number of other bizarre suggestions as well.

The best that anyone can figure, Putin is simply trying to rebuild either the USSR, or worse, the old Russian Empire.

Now, at least one Russian lawmaker has called for the US to give up Alaska in this pursuit.
