Putin really threatening the World

Putin Admits Plan to Take All of Ukraine, Says Violence Will Worsen

Is this the sort of premeditated destruction that will finally see the western world engage in combat with the Russians?

With Vladimir Putin’s once-fearsome reputation fading into the history books, the Moscow madman appears to have only threats left for the world at large.

His military is weak and unprepared and failing miserably in certain aspects of this Ukrainian invasion. It appears as though the only reason why he may still have a chance to take Ukraine is that he has enough bodies to throw at the conflict to overwhelm the much smaller nation. (Never mind that these “bodies” are often teenaged soldiers who were tricked into invading Ukraine in the first place; “cannon fodder” as one young troop told the world).

So, backed into a diplomatic corner and failing to instill any real sense of cunning or confidence on the world’s stage, Putin has only abject, pompous threats left, including the possibility of using a nuclear weapon in the theater of war.

After a recent phone conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron, it became very clear that Putin will not stop until he is stopped.

  1. Zelensky should leave the country while he still can. He's not doing the Ukrainians any favor by hanging around.

Basically, Putin wants to change the government, not kill Ukrainians.

The West has tried to paint Russia in a corner since the end of WWII, and this is the result.

We have some Brilliant International Thinkers in this country, but we refuse to take them seriously.

  2. I guess you better get out your old uniform then, Lynn. Nobody else in the West is interested in stopping him. Our military is a shambles, and even if it weren't, whose sons would you be willing to send over to a third world hellhole?

  3. @1:38...no one in the west wants to have a nuclear war. Putin has everyone over the coal on this one as we are all believing his threat.
    So sad.

As far as a third world country, I don't describe Ukraine as that at all. Are you serious?

It may be a poor country but it is definitely not 3rd World and it has the largest nuclear power plant

  4. I didn't say they were stupid. Ukrainians are just like Russians: Educated; Artistic people. In fact, some of the famous Russians over the centuries, may very well have been Ukrainian. That adds to the sadness of the whole thing. Maybe they just suffer from poor leadership. I take it you know how Zelensky came to be in power in Ukraine.

It takes a combination of talents to run a country. We're not doing so well ourselves these days. As Thomas Jefferson said: "An Educated Populace" is required to maintain a free society.

All we can do now, is hope for the best. And try to stop saying really stupid things on TV.

  5. I didn't say that you called them "stupid." You called them a third World Country.
"The country has abundant reserves of coal, iron ore, natural gas, manganese, salt, oil, graphite, sulfur, kaolin, titanium, nickel, magnesium, timber, and mercury" and this is part of the attraction to evil Putin.

  6. Lots of Third World Countries have an abundance of Natural Resources. Ukraine, from what I read in French Press doesn't even have an effective system for picking up and disposing of their trash. That's not good. That's very Third World.

  7. It's NOT a 3rd world country; it's considered a transitional country and a poor one. But no sense in arguing this.
