Biden a friend to the Labor Unions?

Biden enacts controversial new labor agreement rule via executive order

Fox Business reported Friday that President Joe Biden has signed an executive order requiring that some federal construction projects use project labor agreements (PLAs).

However, critics say the requirement will discriminate against non-union workers, and as a result, increase costs for taxpayers.

Associated General Contractors of America warned that it will lead to inflated costs. In a statement released Friday, group president Stephen E. Sandherr complained that Biden’s executive order addresses “a problem that doesn’t exist.”

“Imposing project labor agreements also discriminates against the more than 85 percent of construction workers who choose not to belong to a union,” he added. [conservativeinstitute]<
