Demographics worked in Cherfilus-McCormick’s favor. She is the black daughter of Haitian immigrants. About half the voters in the district are Black, compared to about 21% who are white. Mariner is white and never had a chance in this district. She only won her primary by 24% with all Blacks but against a white guy---forget about it. This is gerrymandered. We will slaughter you fools in 2024 and save America.
