Climate scientist admits key climate change metric is just something experts 'chose': 'Symbolic marker'

Jeff Berardelli, a CBS News meteorologist and "climate specialist," admitted this week that a key metric scientists cite to warn about the dangers of climate change is not rooted in provable science.

Berardelli explained the 1.5 degrees Celsius is only important because it's the number scientists chose — at least for right now.

If you recall, AOC said, “the world is going to end in 12 years if we don’t address climate change,” and she compared the challenge to World War II. She later said this was humor.
