CBS got it 100% correct, too bad the segment was so short. They should have mentioned that the clubhouses and meeting rooms where all the seniors got their shots (before anyone else) are ALSO the polling places for all these tens of thousands of seniors. And all seniors that don't live in an over 55 community were just SOL.
@5:53 Totally disagree with you... All places that had the room and could accommodate large groups were invited to be used after they started to get more vaccine. Don't recall or know of ANY POLLING places used for the vaccinations as it was not around here. In the beginning of the vaccine, supplies were limited in Florida. Seniors over 65 had the priority. Did you get vaccinated yet? You now can get the vaccine if you are over 18 on the Moderna and J&J...16 for the Pfizer. Are you of age?
Unbelievable! I am over 55. I live in a 55+ community. I guess I am out of the loop, since I didnt get the memo that our clubhouse, or polling location was giving shots.
I guess 5:53 knows everything. Maybe (s)he should start a blog and share all that knowledge.
What I would do, if I was really interested, is call the Supervisor of Elections, to find out where the polling places in the county are located. I know there are less polling places than there used to be, but I don't know where they are in other parts of the county.
Then, you would have a starting point to know if this person 5:53 really does know what she is talking about, or just blowing smoke.
There are really active Boards in some HOA's, and maybe they could make those arrangements for the vaccine. Also, some HOA's are as big as some cities.
