Jeffrey Epstein case: PBC state attorney worked with defense to undercut feds, report says
The 300 page Report has been released and comes one year after The Palm Beach Post, in an investigation called "The First Failure," detailed how Krischer crippled his own case by working with the defense and treating Epstein's teenage victims like prostitutes instead of victims of sexual assault. While investigators found no evidence that federal prosecutors violated any professional codes or criminal laws, they said Acosta showed extremely bad judgment by placing his faith in Krischer by deferring prosecution of Jeffrey Epstein to the State Attorney rather than proceeding with a federal indictment or a federal plea.
Read about Epstein and how the Department of Justice says these girls were victims and that Krischer botched the case.
