Lake Worth Beach mayor, Pam Triolo, will face at least three challengers in March election
Wes Blackman:Urban Planner. He says he runs calm, cool and collected meetings. Has years of experience as former Chair of the Planning & Zoning as well as the Historical Preservation boards
Betty Resch:
Practicing attorney and past city attorney for Lake Worth. If elected she says she will push for term limits and look into the role of city manager Michael Bornstein. "Who's running the show?" asks Betty.
William Joseph
Investigator. Says more investment is needed to create jobs. Says he can unite people.
Challengers believe Mayor Pam Triolo is vulnerable after former commissioner, Omari Hardy, pulled his Academy Award racist performance that went viral. In 2020, when he decided to run for higher office, he continued to agitate and dominate conversation at the dais. It's surprising to me that they all, for the most part, maintained their cool. Of course, the meetings were Zoom so you couldn't punch his lights out. It is rumored that Omari is behind the over-throw of everyone presently on the commission.

Wes Blackman-Growth Whore.Historical structures? Family neighborhoods? We don't need any of THAT,right Wes?
ReplyDeleteBetty Resch- I like her stance on term limits. Yes please. Betty as mayor? No thanks. She is too much of a socialist.
William Joseph-Dear God. Just stop. Please.
Pam Triolo has Mostly done an OK job.She has stood up for our neighborhoods. However ,she did help to destroy our pool and was in favor of the 63 million dollar cash grab (the original "road Bond" that was ,thankfully defeated).I would say to vote for Pam. She is the best choice.
Happy Omari Hardi is out of this city. Go Pam.
ReplyDeleteWes wants to grow our city up for a bigger tax base. Wants more density.
ReplyDeleteI don't know anything about Betty. I have lived here for 5 years now and the city has some budget problems. They can't even open our pool but want to spend tens of millions at the beach, on roads that still look like hell. Wes is against our pool.
ReplyDeletemy vote is for pam.she does work for the city
ReplyDeleteI'm torn between Pam and Betty. I'll have to hear more about their respective plans for the near term.
ReplyDeletePam needs to continue with what she has started. We NEED Pam to stay.
ReplyDeleteThe only reason she has been chastised by Omari is because she is white and wouldnt kiss his butt. He created a mess, then ran. He is hoping the others will continue destroying our city.
Re-elect Pam. Organizational knowledge is key even to municipalities. Each time someone new comes along and replaces everyone (and spends years blaming their predecessors) that knowledge is lost and we have to start over. Pam cares about the city and everyone here has a voice with Pam. She will get it done. Unfortunately, you cannot please everyone but Pam certainly tries.
ReplyDeleteThe Plan here for the Mayor's spot seems to be to get to a run-off election and to keep anyone from getting 50%.
ReplyDeleteScott and Andy have both filed their intent to run again!
Interesting Comments! I guess nobody cares about term limits if they like the person!
ReplyDeleteYou can't have it both ways. I like Pam too, but I'm not a term limits supporter.
I am definitely a term limit person.
ReplyDeleteWe have term limits at the county level.
We have them at the state level.
You can see the destruction and corruption in Congress for NOT having them.
Amoroso talked about implementing term limits a few meetings ago. There is a third Mayoral candidate - Ron Hensley filed. Funny how the election and donation information is no longer online.
ReplyDelete@9:30. don't know about Ron Hensley but William Joseph filed his intent. Will check it out.
ReplyDeleteIt's been confirmed--Ron Hensley has filed intent to run for mayor. So we have 4 running against Pam: Wes, Betty, William and Ron.
ReplyDeleteWes talks out of two sides of his mouth. He blocked comments on his blog because he can’t handle anyone disagreeing with him.thank god Omari is gone.
ReplyDeletePam is the best candidate.
