Lake Worth Pool

I was 100%in agreement with Commissioner Hardy last night. Although there was no dollar amount affiliated with the motion, at least we will spend some money on the pool complex.

I still say let's use Kimley Horn's engineering report and rebuild our present pool and locker rooms for $509,000 or whatever the cost is now due to inflation, etc.

Other Remarks by engineers:
Pool structural deficiencies: None
Pool finishes: fairly good
Building condition (locker rooms and restrooms): Fair to good
Building deficiencies: Roof cover and minor mechanical and plumbing issues
Pump House deficiencies: Replace roof system. interior piping near end of its useful life--needs to be removed and replaced.

  3. I remember the night Kimley Horn gave their report. NOT what Pam Andy and Scott were expecting!!! Our pool was pretty much good to go. Instead of being relieved, the terrible trio looked like they were going to throw up! Staff(Bornstein) had been whispering in their pointy little ears that the pool was crumbling. P.F rushed to the mike to defend staff. (the ones who had apparently been lying their asses off). These people really need to be voted out of office for how they lies to the state of Florida and their own tax payers.Contact Tamika Bass and let her know how you feel about the state covering up what Bornstein did.3900 Commonwealth Blvd.,Tallahassee Fl. 32399-3000.

  5. The comments by 11:10, are strictly rhetorical. And, writing to Tallahassee would accomplish about as much, as writing a letter to DBPR complaining about your Condo Board Members.

All of your responders calling for regime change should try running for office in this great city. Then they could vote themselves term-limits. I wonder what the outcome of that vote would be.

  6. @2:59--We need a referendum to get it on the ballot. Then you can wonder what the outcome would be.
And those comments by 11:10 are true--nothing rhetorical about them.
As far as complaint about a condo board, you notify the Division of Condominiums.
Our pool was never a white elephant Mr. Bornstein but you have made it super expensive to repair.

  7. City managers and condo managers are so bad today. They just want a huge money grab. Most so unethical. Our condo manager hired his own son at $15 an hour to work there, but the guy does nothing. So many of these managers are so self serving and are all about a money grab. So egotistical and not at all humble. We need to get these whack jobs out of these positions. Whatever happened to serving the people you are hired to represent and do what the will of the people is? So unethical!
