Lake Worth Sailing Club wants to be a Welcoming Committee at Docks

Snook Islands dock debate: Sailing club wants to anchor a welcoming yacht

"Lake Worth Sailing Club began lobbying the city manager to use some part of the Snook Islands' docks. The club would like to anchor a yacht at the dock and serve as a sort of welcoming committee, managing and monitoring visiting boats."

The item, brought forward by Commissioner Robinson, a member of the Sailing Club, was on the Agenda Tuesday night under New Business. Commissioner Amoroso tabled it for six months so that they can study the situation. His motion passed on a 3/2 with Robinson and Hardy dissenting.

Amoroso was on the right side of the vote, again.

  1. I don't understand their thinking. Do they think this is Flagler Drive? Isn't Snook Islands a Nature Preserve? Let the little town be just a little town.

I can't wait until we get rid of this Robinson. How could he be in a sailing club. He looks like he can hardly walk! I thought he wasn't going to run anymore. Is he trying to capitalize on destroying the town? Is he senile?

  2. I agree. This is right in line with ex county Commissioner and jail Bird Warren Newels idea to dredge and rip up the water way in front of Bryant Park for a Marina! If all of you idiots out there don't get off of your asses and get your neighbors to the next election we are going to be stuck with these evil Commissioners and their city staff goons FOREVER !!!!!
