Lake Worth has another Scheme to spend $$$

Lake Worth Beach launches ‘city of neighborhoods’ plan - what is it and how will it work?

I would think by now that the City Administration would have it all figured out. After all, we have been working on our LDR's and Comprehensive Plan forever. Now they are hiring a series of consultants to work with our neighborhoods so that they can weigh in, offering their ideas. They are asking, "what kind of city do you want?"

Gimme a break and stop screwing around with our Comprehensive Plan. Give it up. You managed to get the vote on our city to change its name after 106 years.  Is this like Obama's transforming America mentality?

It's simple. Get rid of the slum, the blight and the crime for starters and start enforcing code. That's the planning we should be concentrating on.

  1. Didn't they get $40 million from us for roads?

  2. What a money wasting load of crap! All they had to do is work with the neighborhood presidents. The NAPC meets the first Saturday of every month. Whats so hard about that? And the money they are paying yet another fuuccing CONSULTANT could have been used by the neighborhood associations for things like mailing ,newsletters and signs announcing their meetings.ALL of the presidents have complained about code and PBSO enforcing speed limits within the town. As a matter of fact,I for one am blue in the face from trying to get code to come into my neighborhood and start coding the jerks that refuse to keep their properties up. How may of you see cars parked in front yards? In my neighborhood its an epidemic. And BTW-when is my damn street going to be paved ? Work seems to have come to a complete halt for about the last eight months.

  3. I wonder when they will complete the road construction in the Downtown Area. I don't know why they didn't finish it up while we were used to the inconvenience. Or, aren't they going to finish it?

  4. Sounds just like Greenacres, FL. They hired RMA Management to "reinvision" and "rebrand" the city for $90,000. We've got a leftist mayor who IMO has more interest in becoming a future democratic leader. He jumps at the chance to get his photo-ops w/Lois Frankel and the local dem commissioners.
