William Barr gets stomped on by Democrats playing politics

Chris Wallace Fox News host goes over Mueller letter

It was a disgrace yesterday when William Barr appeared before the Judicial Committee as shown by many of the Democrats who are still trying to get the President impeached. they even went so far as to even call him a "liar" and to "resign." But when you have Chris Wallace acting "snitty" as well--you have to wonder because everyone got the entire report approximately 3 weeks after Barr's summary.

So what in heck is the big problem with Democrats? Democrats can't stand that the report indicated NO COLLUSION of Trump or his campaign with the Russians, the entire purpose of the investigation that lasted over two years and cost $30 million.  All Barr was giving was a summary and Mueller was asked if the content was correct; he said yes.

And Barr has refused to attend their meeting today. Good move.

  1. It was the usual handful on that committee that were over the top with their rude statements. Grand standers.

  2. This is actually why I like Fox. Although the network definitely leans right, people like Chris Wallace show they have integrity as journalists by acknowledging the elephant in the room.

Mueller did not approve of the way the AG summarized his lengthy report and because he is a man of integrity, thought it important to detail that disapproval in writing, signing his name to it.

You can argue all you want about whether a sitting president can be indicted, or if indicted, would he be found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, but the report makes assertions that did not square up with Barr's summary.

Chris Wallace simply pointed out the hypocrisy our side this time. He should be commended. Not vilified.

  3. Well, most reasonable people don't agree with Chris Wallace. Play the Ted Cruz video to understand why.

  4. I too appreciate Chris Wallace. He asks penetrating questions that he expects a coherent answer for, not just fluff.

  5. Chris Wallace is a journalist--not an opinion writer. He wants his legacy to be that of his father's. Fat chance. His problem was coming to a conclusion that suited the liberal narrative, not the attorney general's of the United States and not Mueller's.
Trump haters need to go pound sand.

  6. You just made my point. Chris doesn't include opinion. Just facts. I personally think he leans right too but he calls a spade a spade.

Again, that shows integrity. I can't stand Hannity, Tucker and barely put up with Ingraham because they are all just apologists for anything the far right has to say. Same, but opposite for MSNBC. Hard to find objective reporting anywhere.

Not necessarily a Trump hater. Like what he is doing but personally he is a 1st class POS.

  7. Chris Wallace's statements were nothing BUT opinion. That was my point. He should stick to facts and not try and be smarter than the AG...be a damn journalist.
And I don't appreciate your comments.

  8. I am listening to arguments across the political spectrum. The usual suspects spin it this way or that way depending what channel you are watching. The most stunning thing to me was the "non-reporting" of the letter from Mueller to Barr by Fox. It took a lot of balls for Wallace to even question what was being largely ignored by the rest of the cast.

They still don't talk about it. There isn't too much leeway for them to spin it. The vitriol is not aimed at Trump. It is at Barr.

Alan Dershowitz explained it very clearly that as the AG is a "cabinet" position, he is most certainly doing the president's bidding(and should). Many countries divide the position into two separate positions, one to push the presidents legal objectives and one that is non-partisan. Dershowitz claims this is one area our forefathers got it wrong.

But REALLY.... Mueller WAS upset at the way his report was summarized. And he listed the reasons very clearly.

I get it. I am sorry I offended your perception of our president's moral compass.

  9. @3:53...you offend me. PERIOD. Dershowitz said The real controversy is whether President Trump’s actions, that were authorized by the Constitution, could constitute the crime of obstruction of justice. Barr is right in concluding it couldn’t. Mueller is wrong in concluding it could.
